student membership

$20 USD

Students are entitled to all current privileges and benefits. Student members may not vote or hold elective office, except in a student chapter.

Registered full-time in a college or university toward a degree in engineering, science, fine arts,  architecture, interior design, related fields, or accredited two year technical school

emerging professional

$75 USD

Emerging professionals are entitled to all current privileges and benefits; including reduced membership dues.

An emerging professional can be a recent graduate or a professional new to the lighting industry. These people are elegible for emerging professional status for the first 5 years of membership.

ASSOCIATE GRADE

$160 USD

Associates are entitled to all current privileges and benefits. Associate members may not serve on the IES board of directors, as a district chair or as chairperson of an IES national committee.

An associate grade member shall be interested in the mission of the society, as well as at least eighteen years of age. Associates may use the acronym "Associate, IES" behind their name.

MEMBER GRADE

$160 USD

Member grade are entitled to all current privileges and benefits. They may also serve on the IES board of directors, as a district chair or as chairperson of an IES national committee.

Member grade is available to graduates of four year programs with a degree in the art or science of illumination or related engineering fields. Further qualifications are listed on the IES site - follow the "APPLY NOW" link above. Members may use the acronym "Member, IES" behind their name.
